Karan, a young boy, in his 28 age, with little memory loss issues, a manager in a bank, and still unmarried. He loved to hang a pen which helped him a lot, vertical comb in his shirts’ front pocket. Recently he rejected a girl from village which his mother presented to him as marriage proposal to him at a meeting.

Later he went to attend a wedding of his female employee.  There he spotted a girl, a feeling of attraction came in his mind as she was beautiful from all aspects especially face and body. Then he went and approached the girl while she was having food and was simultaneously coughing. He took water from his plate and offered her to drink it. She got impressed by his action. Then they both went and offered the gifts to the bride. As he was sitting in his car and offered her a lift, she introduced, “My name is Anushka “. She accepted without any hesitation.

While having a conversation with her he came to know that she was 31 and had a child. That child was her brother’s daughter. Her brother, divorced from his wife, and he stayed in USA for work and money.

When he asked about parents, she spoke her parents passed away in an ST bus accident; she was in her last year of college. The boy told his father too passed away due to kidney failure as a result of access in alcohol consumption .He got to know in the car that she is a professor in a college, and she without any hesitation accepted Karan’s memory loss problem as she was already impressed by his alertness to offer her water while coughing.

Then both kept meeting each other for few months. Karan told about his relationship at home. This time, his mother was happy with his choice .Later both got married. During their wedding Anushka’s brother was present with Karan to offer him water on stage.  A beautiful woman along with her daughter came to the wedding. Post marriage ceremony, Karan a day later asked who she was!  Anushka argued the woman was her school friend. He got calmed down.

Both decided to get married on one condition that her brother’s daughter will be taken care and accepted by Karan himself like his own daughter. Without any hesitation, Karan accepted this responsibility.

After a few days early in the morning, someone rang door. It happened to be a doctor, Ashok (55), when Karan opened the door. Then it came to his knowledge that the doctor was a parent of Anushka’s student as his son cleared board exams of Arts due to Anushka’s efforts. He came to their home to congratulate the couple for a happy marriage life.

After 5 -8 years of marriage, Karan tried a lot for a baby from Anushka, his most beautiful wife .In this years, his mom passed away and was unfortunate to get a look of her son’s child .And many times he visited the same doctor again and again, but everything failed. The doctor asked him to forget for the child, and accept that he has some problem, or to handle the child of his wife’s brother

One day, at the mid night, Karan knocked at the door of the doctor.  After the doctor opened his door, he got to know that Karan is very much serious about his life’s problem regarding a child, and he had a quarrel on this topic with his wife many a times. So his wife was not talking with him since a week  

Both talked on this issue a lot. When doctor went to his kitchen to give some coco cola to him, at mid night  doctor’s wife appeared and insisted and whispered in his ears to tell him the truth at once and let set him free for once.

After having few drinks, doctor told him to visit his dispensary the next day.

Thus after he came at evening the doctor told the whole truth regarding why he was not having the child with his wife .After listening the truth he got a very big shock of his life.

At night, Karan’s accepted daughter slept in the AC room of his bedroom where in the past years he never repaired the fan of the room or even bothered as he had an AC, and both the wife and husband slept  in their room.

One day Karan took his pen which had a camera and he used to record all the video clip and stored it in laptop and watched it as he had a persistent memory loss problem. So he bought a 2^nd new pendrive and took the clip of one such conversation with doctor, and stored it in the new pendrive.

The next day he told his wife that he was leaving the next day with his daughter in the morning to meet his old MLA friend. And introduce his daughter to his MLA friend.

That day his wife insisted that she wanted to sleep in the AC room and let her daughter sleep with her father for a day .The next morning both father – daughter left at 7 in the morning. There was electricity shut down due to short circuit problem which took place at 2 am in night. While leaving Karan kept all the buttons of lights and fans including AC on.

When both the duo left the home at 7 am, the electricity came at 8 am. AC, light and fans of all the room got switched on. The fan was never repaired in his new home post marriage as AC was fitted in his daughter’s bedroom due to her insistence when she was small. Due to no maintenance, the fan felt on Anushka’s head at 8.30 am. She lost her life.

After coming home in the evening, he opened the door and got to know that wife was dead as the fan collapsed on her head. Then all the relatives and friends including her USA brother were called, and her body was burned. The next morning after proper police verification they found the fan was never used, and it was maintained poorly.

After few months, he was hearing the clip of conversation between doctor and him alone at home on his laptop by injecting his 2^nd new secret pen drive .The conversation was like:

Doctor came with some mobile pictures on his phone and said “Look at these pictures. These are the pictures of your wife’s 1^st marriage. She had married when she was 25, and her husband passed away in jungle.


  While taking photographs of a giraffe, he was bited by venom, a poisonous snake. He passed away in the jungles of Africa”.

Karan interrogated to the doctor, “What proof you have?”

He showed him funeral pictures from his mobile which he took when the body of her husband was bought in Mumbai. Again Karan was totally shocked.

Again, another shock he got that why he was not having a child with Anushka. Anushka had an operation from the doctor of family planning. So Karan never had child and the doctor even showed the receipt of the paid fees of operation.

While watching the pictures of Anushka’s husband’s body, Karan found her USA brother and even a lady and a girl. He told the doctor that he knows them and she is her wife’s school friend. The doctor laughed and asserted that the lady is the wife of her USA brother.

So Karan was very happy that such a devil wife passed away .Then a call came from his daughter. She was speaking from her hostel where she was taking her graduation education. After talking with her, Karan went to sleep. Before going to sleep, he kissed his pen which had a recording camera, and then slept.
